My Passion for Cruising
Hi, my name is Jenn, and I have a passion for cruising. I started cruising in 2006 (4-day cruise out of Jacksonville on the original Carnival Celebration), took another in 2007 for my honeymoon, the next in 2009 so my 6 year old daughter could experience (she’s Platinum now!), the next in 2010, and then another in 2011 – and after the 2011 cruise, it was GAME ON and pretty much became obsessed with getting on another cruise!
My Journey with Carnival
I started out with Carnival for my first cruise since that’s what my boyfriend (now husband) treated me to. We stayed on Carnival because we became used to it, enjoyed it, it was fun for my daughter, and was a good value. I tried another cruise line, but kept coming back to Carnival because it was just plain old ‘fun’. It really is the Fun Ship! I’ve now attained Diamond status this year (2023) after 33 cruises on Carnival.
Total Cruising Experience
My total number of cruises is 36 cruises with the other 3 being on Norwegian. This year I will have been on 6 cruises total. My friends don’t even ask me what I’m doing with my free time, they know I’m going to get back on a ship again.
Why I Love Cruising
Why do I cruise? Because it’s the least stressful way to travel and the most enjoyable. I love that I don’t have to make a single decision on where I’m going to eat, how far it is to get to a restaurant, I don’t have to worry about getting an Uber after drinking, I don’t have to think about what my entertainment will be, the people on Carnival are so much fun and very friendly, the staff is friendly, the rooms get cleaned once a day, we’re dropped off at ports that are exciting and beautiful, and I can make every cruise whatever I want it to be.
Customizing My Cruise Experience
What do I mean by this? I can make the cruise primarily a restful cruise, or I can make it really adventurous and exciting. The cost of the cruises aren’t exactly inexpensive (especially since Covid and the demand is high), but the costs are predictable and easy to budget.
Why I Created This Website
Why did I create this website? First, I started creating videos for Youtube. It was just too easy. I turned on my phone, took videos with the camera, pointed it at food, sites, and vlogged about my experiences and opinions. I decided to expand that method of communication to writing about my experiences with blogs, sharing news stories, tips for travel, information about ships, ports, and more.
The Focus on Carnival
Wait. I didn’t explain why I created a website specific to Carnival. I didn’t see anything like it on the internet, and I wanted to create a venue for people that are OBSESSED with Carnival, need advice and information, and want to keep up to date on EVERYTHING CARNIVAL! Plus, they want to feel they’re part of an exclusive online community.
My Candid Opinions
Even though I love Carnival, I will give my candid opinion about the ships, ports, service, food, drink package, cost, and other facets that affect people’s enjoyment. No line is perfect, including Carnival, but overall, it’s a great cruise line and brand.
Comparing Cruise Lines
When I cruise on other cruise lines, I’ll still always refer back to Carnival so people can see from a Carnival Diamond member what their perspective is of the other line in comparison to Carnival.
